Garden Restoration Project

I've been a resident in the south bronx all my life. I've seen some of the worst and ugliest of things in this concrete jungle. I've always wondered how can we make a difference in our community that everyone will enjoy. 

So I took it upon myself to take an abandoned lot and transform it into a kid friendly garden oasis.

This endeavor began July 2014.  Since then we've grown to a group of over 12 adult volunteers  and 27 kids.  Hundreds of hours and dollars has gone into this restoration.  At this stage of our transformation we have exausted our budget and are in search for new resources . HERE'S WHERE YOU COME IN! At this point there is no turning back,  with us being so close to really making a remarkable impact in this 4,000 sq foot community garden. It is important for us to continue.
The money raised will be used to fund things such as a composting systems, rain water collection system, plants, soil, shed, green house, bedboxes and an activity section for the children.

This will mean the world not only to myself but to everyone who has entered our little oasis.  The neighborhood children look up to us as they learn the intresting world of botany.
