Life Rafts for Shem Creek Fleet

Shrimp trawlers and fishing boats on Shem Creek...they're synonymous with the Town of Mount Pleasant and the Lowcountry. However, due to a variety of factors, we risk losing this cultural treasure unless the community comes together to help ensure these boats can continue to make a go of it. One thing we can all do to help right away is pitch in so the fleet can meet a new Coast Guard requirement for inflatable life rafts that cost around $3,000 each. Let’s show the fleet of about a dozen boats just how much the community is behind them--please make a donation if you can and spread the word with your friends and family! If we all give just a little bit we can reach our goal easily! All proceeds will be allocated directly to Shem Creek Fisheries, a 501(c)3 formed to support the fleet, for the purchase of the necessary equipment.
