Shelter Schipperke "Skipper"

Skipper is a 14 yr old Schipperke rescued from the Carson Shelter on June 30, 2018. He was infested with ticks (at least 150 ticks, has eye discharge, and severely neglected. The shelter said a man dropped him off on behalf of the owner, an elderly woman who was unable to care for him anymore.
I was contacted by a volunteer at the Carson Shelter because she knows I love Schipperkes. I rescued him from the shelter, with the intention of finding him his forever home, but as his health situation is very bad, he needs medical attention immediately.
I took him to the vet this morning because this dog needs immediate relief - I cannot hold off on medical care while awaiting a new home or rescue.
The vet said he has a heart murmur but he did test negative for heart worm. Vet gave him an antiobiotic injection, a Benadryl injection, full CBS, eye Schirmer Tear Test, eye ointment and antibiotics - I had to leave off the supplements and medicated shampoo because of the cost.
In total, the vet costs this morning was $676.00, which I had to borrow in order to help Skipper. On top of that, I've already spent $155 on his adoption fees and grooming (immediately after leaving the shelter).
I am asking for donations to reimburse my costs for Skipper, as I have another elderly Schipperke (and 3 other dogs) that have ongoing medical costs.
My intent is still to help find Skipper his forever home, but for right now his health situation needs to be managed. Please find it in your heart to help this old boy so that he may go on to find a home to call his own.
