Shelly Ann's Funeral Fund

As some of you may know, Shelly Ann Fitzpatrick tragically passed away December 3, 2015 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was a dedicated healthcare provider since 1989 when she acquired her nursing degree and went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in 2002 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She devoted her life to the medical field, helped save countless lives over her past 26 years, and found great joy in the operating room caring for her patients. She was full of life, loved chatting with the OR crew over coffee, and always came prepared with a good joke or story. She loved her profession and her coworkers, who became a second family to her.

Her personality was infectious and her laugh and her smile would light up a room. Although she was passionate about medicine, she always said that her greatest achievement was her family, whom meant the world to her. She was a second mother to many, whether it was making lunch for the entire football team, providing a home for countless kids along the way, helping to put them through college, or just being there in their time of need. She always took great joy in caring for everybody. Shelly had the biggest heart, and would drop everything for anyone in need, whether a family member or a stranger. If you had a vision, it became her vision. If you had a problem, it became her problem, and she made it her mission to walk the path with you.  She was the first to support everyone’s dreams no matter how big or unrealistic they may have seemed, and always pushed us to shoot for the stars.  In her eyes, there were no barriers in life, no dream was too big, and nothing was out of reach.  She had a special ability to make a house a home and opened her arms, home, and heart to anyone in need.  Shelly loved to throw a good party, was a social butterfly, and made friends wherever she went.  She was a hippie at heart, and thought the world should be a more colorful place.  Shelly had an amazing sense of humor and an infectious laugh, something that her and her daughter Meghan share.  Shelly loved a good photo op, so much so that she just HAD to get her picture taken on every police camera at every intersection, with the top down, wearing her Jackie-O sunglasses.  She loved throwing the annual Fitzpatrick Halloween party, always had to have the brightest flocked Christmas tree, loved family vacations, summer BBQ’s, pool parties, and a having house full of family and friends.  She left us too soon, but we will never forget the lessons she taught us.  She was one-of-a-kind, will be missed by many, and her presence will forever be felt by those that knew her.  Any amount that you can contribute to help pay for funeral costs is greatly appreciated.  Thank you for all of your continued love and support during this tragic time.
