Fast Women on Motorcycles
Landspeed racing is one of the few sports where men and women compete directly against one another. There is very little sponsorship funding available for participants of either gender, and it is a costly endeavor to develop, test and maintain these amazing machines. The sheEmoto Award helps to reduce barriers for female racers by providing financial support to those that embody the spirit and characteristics of landspeed racing - teamwork, perseverance, ingenuity, humility and (of course) competition. In order to acknowledge all those who help a woman meet her goals, we provide her with a second award that she can bestow on the person in her life who helped her break down barriers and accomplish her mission.
In the six years since inception, 100% of funds awarded have gone back into racing. This year we'd like to spread the funds across a larger number of racers. Funds raised will go to aspiring female Bonneville landspeed motorcycle racers. Donations over $250 will buy the donor's name on the Hunter Sills' team racebike as a "Thank You." (NO funds will go to Hunter Sills Racing - just to the sheEmoto Award so we can provide assistance to more racers.)
