Hi, my name is Melissa Perdue. I am from Long Island, and am lucky enough to have St. Maarten as my second home, but for my boyfriend Shaun Allen and his son, it's their only home. On Wednesday they were devastatingly hit by hurricane Irma. They suffered severe loss and were left with nothing, now they have to start all over again. The island has been destroyed already, but hurricane Jose is on its way. All funds raised will help find housing, food, clothing, and transportation for them. Any donation you can make would help them begin to rebuild their lives. I would like to thank you in advance for your generosity, time, and consideration.
As of today, September 9th I have not had any contact from anyone on the island for two days. Once I am able to send the donations to him I will be, or I will be going there personally when the airport opens to bring it to him along with other supplys the island is in desperate need of.
