Sharing Mariner HS Spirit & Pride!

Research shows that high school students who show support for their school perform better academically, are more engaged in social and civic matters, and are happier in general.
The Mariner HS Booster Club, on behalf of the staff at Mariner High School , want to give our students a means of showing their school support, spirit and pride at the start of the next school year. We would like to give each of our students a class colored t-shirt at the start of the 2017-2018 school year. Fridays are always Mariner Pride Fridays where students are encouraged to wear our school colors of white, grey, blue, and gold. Mariner High School, located in south Everett, WA is home to approximately 2300 students with 61% being free or reduced lunch. The cost of school spirit gear in the form of t-shirts and sweatshirts is out of reach for more than half of our students. Despite a desire to take part in Mariner Pride Fridays, most students do not own spirit gear as they cannot afford it.
Providing students with a school spirit t-shirt is like telling each and every one of our students, “You are one of us!”. And when students feel a sense of belonging or connection with their school, they are more likely to be academically successful and involved in various clubs/activities at the school. Academic success is of the upmost importance to the staff at Mariner High School – Graduation Success is the primary goal of our School Improvement Plan. And we believe giving each student an invitation to be a part of us in the form of a t-shirt is just one more way we can achieve great success!
Any amount of money will help us in moving forward with sharing Mariner Pride with ALL of our students! Your gift is greatly appreciated!
