Shannon Murray Funeral Fund

Donation protected
My name is Christy Murray. I was fortunate enough to marry into an amazing family, the Murrays. On Wednesday morning, December 6th, I was woken up at 6 oclock to police pounding on my door. That's when we found out that my beautiful, talented, caring, 23 year old sister in law had died of a heroin overdose. My husband, her brother, swore and yelled and hurried out the door to be by his mom's side. Mom found her when she got up for work at 5:30. She was laying in a weird way on the couch, so mom tried to wake her. Our Shannon was already cold. Mom knew immediately what had happened. There was a needle on the couch next to her. Heroin had taken her. Now, we're here, making funeral arrangements for the 3rd time in less than10 years. We lost Shannon's brother to a drowning accident in 2008 and her dad to cancer in 2010. This family has had enough. More than enough. Mom is a strong woman, one of the strongest i have ever in my life met, but she, and we, cannot financially do it alone. Mom is a proud woman, and it took some convincing for her to let us ask, but we need help. Any help is appreciated more than you could possibly know. Any amount above our goal will be used to combat heroin addiction. Whether or not you are able to help, thank you for taking the time to read our story.

With much love and a heavy heart, thank you.
