Shanbally NS is a health promoting school and we are running a very special and novel fundraiser on the 25th November and we need your help. The fundraiser is a sponsored cyle and pedal powered cinema. The idea behind this event is that we get as many cyclists (parents, past pupils, 5th & 6th class) to do a sponsored cycle to raise money for the school.
This is no ordinary cycle; all the power generated by the cyclists will run our cinema for the evening.
Energy doesn't come any greener than this. In addition to fundraising the school is working towards its First Active School Flag award, this cycle will bring us along way to reaching our goal........
The school is raising money for maths resources, special education and literacy materials.
Fund Target €6000
We need to generate to over 2,000 watts of power over the duration of the film. Here is how you can help...
1. Sponsor a bike €50.00
2. Wattage sale - €3.00 per watt, €10.00 for 4 watts & €20.00 for 8 watts.
If you would like to sponsor more than one bike or make a larger donation that would be just wonderful. All donations, big or small will be greatly appreciated.
