Shadow, our fur baby, needs surgery

The first addition to our family, our fur baby Shadow, needs surgery. Shadow joined our family 5 years ago while we were pregnant with our first child, Lily. A friend of a friend witnessed her being kicked out a of car on the side of a highway, and the driver sped off. Without even seeing her, when asked, we said we would take her in right away. And she has been a part of our family ever since. Shadow is six years old. As if she is our first daughter and our girls older sister, our three and four year old daughters have never known life without Shadow. They would be absolutely heartbroken, as would we all who know and love her, if she were no longer around to play and cuddle. Having a torn ACL in her left and torn meniscus in her right knees, she will not get any better, but progressively get worse. She is a high energy dog, like all black labs are, who loves to play with kids, especially her little sisters, and her best furry friends Nala and Bobo. We are so sad we cannot afford xrays and surgery, so we have started this gofundme in the hopes of raising money to cover the costs to keeps Shadow with us for many more years to come.
