The Bernie Friedenberg Monument Fund will raise funds for an over life sized 3,000 lb. Fine Art Bronze Monument depicting Sgt. Bernie Friedenberg attending to a wounded soldier on Omaha Beach, Normandy, France - D-Day, June 6, 1944. The monument will be dedicated to Sgt. Bernie Friedenberg and all US Soldiers from WWII who fought for our freedom.
Pictured above is a small clay model or "Modello" of the proposed 3,000 lb. Bronze Monument which will be installed on a 4' x 10' granite pedestal in Atlantic City, NJ.
ABOUT BERNIE
Bernard Isadore Friedenberg, 10/20/1921- 5/1/2018. Bernie graduated from Atlantic City High School and attended Temple University for one year until WWII broke out. He was rejected by all branches of the military due to his vision. He was relentless, and the US Army finally accepted him. He was a Medic and helped save many lives on Omaha Beach, The Battle of the Bulge and fought throughout Europe and North Africa for four 1/2 years. He came home with 2 Purple Hearts, 2 Silver Stars, a Bronze Metal, and was honored by the French Government and the WWII Museum in New Orleans, LA.

FUNDING
The Bronze Monument will be installed at a location in Atlantic City, NJ
Fisher Sculpture LLC - www.fishersculpture.com will create the Bronze Monument at cost which will be installed and dedicated in 2020-2021.
The Family and Friends of Sgt. Bernie Friedenberg and the citizens of Atlantic City are grateful for your generosity.
The creation of the statue will begin immediately.

Fisher Sculpture LLC has created multiple Fine Art Monuments to honor heroes of the US military. Fisher Sculpture will create the bronze monument in their PA based Foundry.
