National Rugby Championship 2015

$4,055 of $5,000 goal

The South Jersey Rugby Football Club has an opportunity to reach the pinnacle of their storied 46-year existence.  The hard-working players and staff of the club have reached the regional semi-finals of what is known as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) for the first time ever.

The biggest challenge is yet to come.  The semi-finals in Richmond , Virginia will incur significant monetary costs and commitments, as it is a 3-day event with travel and overnight stays.  Our worst fear is that certain players will not be available due to financial shortages - this is why we ask for your help.   Victories at this stage will put us into the Sweet-16s for the prized National Championship -  a lofty goal for any sports organization, but certainly within our reach.

Please do what you can to help 35 proud young men attain their goal - your generosity will not be forgotten.

Thank you in advance - we're making a run for it!

For those who have not heard, the brave South Jersey Rugby Club members had their dreams cut short by a mere 8 points in their last playoff game against Old Gaelic RFC. It was an entertaining game to watch, with several lead changes throughout.

Although we are out of the playoffs, we are constantly looking for ways to improve the club in all aspects. I must sincerely thank all who donated money to the cause, and will leave the GoFundMe option open to those who wish to contribute in the future.

We could not have done it without all of our supporters, and we look forward to better things next year.

Due in large part to the generosity of all the donors, the South Jersey Rugby Football Club (SJRFC) has won the first game of this weekend's playoffs, 34-29. Since the games are being played in Richmond, VA, you can imagine the expenses of travel and accommodation - we cannot thank you enough for your generosity.

Today, the lads play their elite-8 game, and if they win, they are in the national Final 4 for their division - WOW! Thanks again for being a huge part of the overall effort.

The donations have been rolling in, some from seasoned fans of rugby in South Jersey, some from anonymous donors who humbly want to support SJRFC. To all of you - you are doing a huge part to help get the lads to the next level. It is often the work off the training ground that creates a winner, and I am so glad you are a part of it. Thank you, Thank you,
Thank you!

To clarify, Pete's a little ahead of himself. We're currently in the Sweet Sixteen. That game that was supposed to be Sunday would have been to move into the Elite 8. That game was postponed and will be played at a neutral location between us and Old Gaelic in the near future. Thanks to everyone for their support!
