Georgi's fight ! x

Donation protected
When our beautiful Georgiana Jacqueline was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (A.L.L.) on 28th February 2014 our whole world fell apart.  Nothing can prepare you for someone telling you your 22 month old daughter has cancer! – Her fight was just beginning.
Following diagnosis Georgi spent the initial 2 ½ months in Leeds General Infirmary where she underwent intensive chemotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions (too many to recall), a Hickman line fitted (under anaesthetic) and countless lumbar punctures whilst fighting many infections.  During this time Georgi lost her ability to walk 3 times and had to learn to speak all over again.  She was constantly sick from all of the medication and when on steroid treatment, she became so big that she was unable to sit up properly and support her own body weight.  Georgi has remained strong through all her treatment and always has a smile on her face.  Treatment has started to become a way of life for her and the Hospital our second home, travelling from Hull to Leeds sometimes up to 4 times per week.  Over the last year Georgi has had many hospital admissions due to infections (including E.Coli) resulting in an operation to remove and re-insert her hickman line.  Unfortunately she is constantly in isolation and when she is neutropaenic is unable to play with other children due to the high risk of infection.

As you are only allowed to travel within 2 hours of Leeds General, a holiday abroad is out of the question.   Last year we tried to have a holiday at Centre Parc’s, however, Georgi was too poorly to join us until midway through the week and when she did eventually get there, became very ill, very quickly and was ambulanced over to Carlisle Hospital to receive emergency treatment before being transferred back to Leeds for a further week of iv antibiotics and a blood transfusion.  Georgi has never been on holiday and we are looking to raise enough funds to take her away for a holiday of a life time with her sister Taylor Rose (11) to Disney Land,  America when her treatment finally finishes.  Please help us to achieve our goal by raising enough money to help put towards making our special little girls' dream come true meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse.  Thank you for all your love and support
