On Friday 27th April we lost a true leading light in the world of seventy7, the dynamic, talented and incredibly stylish Debbie Davies. After a 9 year long battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her wonderful family aged only 47.
To go a little way to paying tribute to what a great loss she will be to all of us, we wanted to raise some funds to help support Debbie’s two young sons and husband at such a difficult time. Given how much of a difference she made to all our lives, it’s the very least we can do.
A group of colleagues from seventy7 Manchester are running the Great Manchester Run on 20th May, and we want to ask you to sponsor us in Debbie’s memory. We’ll be running 10k, which for plenty of us seems an impossibly long way, so hope that this effort encourages you to dig deep. We can only try to channel the determined spirit that Debbie faced every challenge in her life with as we put foot to pavement.
You might be wondering – why a GoFundMe? We want you to know that your money is going directly to help Debbie’s wonderful family, so we’re raising funds for the family directly, not through a registered charity.
We hope you’ll give something however small, pay tribute and remember her wonderful smile, great laugh, positive outlook and fantastic energy.
