A beautiful mothers life was cut short to an accidental overdose while her seven children were home. Sometimes we do not think of the young lives that are touched by this massive opioid epidemic sweeping our country and county.
I spent the day with this wonderful family, a disabled grandmother whose love for her grandchildren touched my heart. She is now left to care for this beautiful family.

Today was their first day of school while most children get an array of new clothes, supplies and book bags these children were so excited to show off their new shoes, the only thing grandma could afford.
