Service dogs for Disabled Veterans
Donation protected
For 2 years now Dillon's Dog Training has been providing free training for local disabled veterans. With the V.A. Doctor's recommending the training the program has helped 106 veterans and their dogs free of charge. The program has become so successful that veterans are now being put on a wait list. To try and remedy this I am asking if people would like to help by sponsoring a dog's training to a veteran. Each team's training usually takes 2-4 months and rescue dogs or dogs already in the home are trained to be their service dog. With the donation the person will be recognized (if so desired). So if a corporation would like to sponsor a dog team they would be recognized once that team graduates. The cost of training a service dog is $3,000 which includes Diabetic alert, Seizure alert, PTSD, Balance issues. The only service dogs we don't train are guide dogs. Any donation will help to offset the cost of training.
