Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue needs help for two senior Frenchies!

We just got back from Kansas where we were called for two senior French bulldogs. The small town shelter had picked them up as strays. Because it was a small town, the shelter knew their story: Taz and Bridgette had been passed around and around in all sorts of horrible homes. The shelter had intervened in the past because the poor pups were locked in a bathroom and starving. The owners passed the dogs off to a friend. Eventually, Bridgette and Taz were found wandering the streets alone, starving, and scared. They were held in an outside pen at the shelter for two months while the sheriff decided if they should press charges or not. They decided not to and told the shelter to euthanize Bridgette and Taz. Instead, we were called in.
The vet is estimating these old sweeties to be 8-9 years old.
Taz's teeth are rotting out of his mouth. His dental bill will be close to $3000. And the poor guy lost an eye at some point by being attacked by another dog.
Bridgette has a large mass on her rear that will need to be removed and biopsied in addition to her dental.
Both dogs are as sweet as can be. They want love and cuddles. While they were at my house, they seemed to be enjoying human affection for the first time. They have been so neglected, there is no way RMFBR will turn them away. We will do everything we can for their golden years to be bliss.
RMFBR is in dire need. We did not raise enough funds for Phoebe (the cart girl from Seattle) and do not have any funds for these sweet old pups.
Please, if you have a few extra dollars, send them to Taz and Bridgette. They truly deserve it.

They need help!

Bridgette - our old girl who was taken off the streets of KS - needs Cushings testing! When we rescued her, she had a large mass cell tumor removed. This special hospice ex-breeder deserves to feel good. (est $500)

Turtle came to us from TX with liver issues. His liver is much better but the poor 2yo can’t breathe! He needs nares and palate repaired so he can life a long, healthy life! (est $1300)

Winnie came to us from the horrible hoarding situation in Denver. She has had her toe amputated due to cancer. She needs follow-up care (est. $500)

Brodie has a hole in his L7! He is urine and fecal incontinent but has been getting the use of his leg back! He needs continual PT so he has full use of his limbs. (est. $300)

Can you help them? Please donate if you can. If you can’t donate, please share.

We got some sad news about Bridgette yesterday. The mass we had removed turned out to be cancer.
Bridgette has finally found her way into a warm and loving family after being a breeding mama her entire life before being thrown out on the streets of KS and picked up by a kill shelter where she sat in an outside kennel for 2 months.
If anyone deserves a peaceful retirement, it is Bridgette. But keeping her comfortable is going to require funds so we are re-opening her gofundme. If you have some extra, and I know it is hard at this time of the year, please help Bridgette. Her mate Taz still needs the other half of his teeth pulled, too. Thank you.

Rocky Mountain French Bulldog Rescue needs help for two senior Frenchies!
The local small town Kansas shelter had previously been involved with Taz and Bridgette when they had been locked in a bathroom and starved.
A few months ago, the shelter found them wandering the streets in severe neglect. The shelter tried to press charges against the owner this time and Taz and Bridgette were stuck in the outside kennels while the law sorted it out. They decided to drop the charges and told the shelter “just euthanize those old dogs”.
So we stepped in. Now we need you.
Taz’s teeth are rotting and broken. We caught this just in time as an abscess was building under his gums. Almost half his teeth were removed yesterday and more dental surgeries are scheduled. He is also missing an eye from being attacked by a dog and is mostly deaf.
Bridgette will be getting her dental on Tuesday. She also has a large open mass/wound to be removed Tuesday. She has had an open wound for who knows how long.
These two have spent their 8 or 9 years fighting for their lives. We are trying to give them peace in their twilight years. They are both incredibly sweet and amazing dogs. They deserve love and comfort. Can you help us get them healthy?
