I got a call from Robin today. The family met with doctors recently and things have gotten worse for Thalita. The tumors in her heart are now large enough to cause her chest pains. They will possibly be needing these funds to help with arrangements a lot sooner. They are so desperately wanting to get to Brazil ASAP. Thiago and Robin have discovered its going to cost even more to expedite Griffin's passport. If there is anything that you can give to this sweet family, please do so. No one enjoys asking for financial support but this is a lot of money to have to come up with in such short notice. Not many would be able to do this alone. What would you do if this was your family? Please be prayerful and allow God to lead you as you consider the needs of this precious family. And please pray that God's peace would cover them and protect their hearts.
Thiago's little sister, Thalita, is nearing the end of her 2.5 year battle with cancer. On Tuesday they received news that the cancer has spread again. Her cancer started in her kidneys, and has spread through stomach lining, lungs and now her heart. She is the bravest little girl who has lived through multiple surgeries and the strongest doses of chemo and radiation of anyone we know. Thiago and Robin desire so greatly to be with her again, and she so desires to be with them. So far Thalita has expressed three desires...
1. to meet her nephew, Griffin
2. to have a camera to take pictures
3. to make American chocolate-chip cookies. (one of her favorite things to do when anyone visits from the US)
We want to try to make these small wishes happen.
These expenses are greatly due to the air travel, car rental, express passport and visa for Griffin, last wishes and future arrangements. Any extra money raised will stay with family in Brazil. Please consider a donation of any amount.
