This July, I will be joining my peers on the floor of the DNC to select our candidate for president and build the platform that is the future of our country. I need your help to get there. 

As a single mother, there were times that the car was our home and we lived on food stamps. Planned Parenthood saved my life from cancer caught during a routine screening. I overcame financial limitations to walk for my MBA, and in the process accumulated a six-figure student loan debt. This movement is not just political theory, it's the very soul of who I am and what we've overcome thus far.

I've had the honor of working on tribal and energy justice, as a contractor making the military more sustainable, working on political campaigns from the Obama/Gregoire coordinated campaign to city council seats, advising our legislature on policy issues, launching startups and packaging them for funding, marketing and PR, filmmaking, and now working on the ground floor of an emerging legal cannabis industry.

The estimates we are given is that the trip will cost around $5k, and that includes airfare, transport, food, and hotel. This is an unpaid time off and am currently living paycheck to paycheck. I'm going to share my room with fellow delegates and find ways to save wherever I can.
