Blue Thunder's 2020 FRC Regional Funds

Maui High Schools robotics team, Team 2443 Blue Thunder, is a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team. In FRC, we are given six weeks to design, fabricate, and program a fully functioning robot that complies with the years game.
This years game is DESTINATION: DEEP SPACE, sponsored by the Boeing Company. Blue Thunder has had the privilege to attend the San Diego Regional, held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, and Hawaii Regional, held at the Stan Sheriff Center. At the San Diego Regional, our team was chosen to be apart of the fifth seed alliance and made it to the quarterfinals. After critically analyzing our mistakes, we improved our robot as well as our strategies. Due to such adaptations, we were able reach the ninth rank out of 35 teams and was chosen to be apart of the second seeded alliance, making it to finals at the Hawai’i Regional.
At Hawai’i Regional, wildcards were produced from teams already qualified for the World Championship. We were one of the regional finalists and received a wildcard.
Blue Thunder has worked non-stop for this honor and we need all the help we can get. With the money that is donated, we will be able to pay for our travel expenses, transportation, and lodging.
We are so incredibly grateful for all the help we have received this season and we hope that we have made you all proud. Thank you for your constant support to the team and to the students of their dreams and passions!
