Sacred Stone Camp or Bust!

LET ME BE YOUR EYES:
For those unfamiliar with me and my work as a photographer here is a brief bio:

Camille Seaman strongly believes in capturing photographs which articulate that humans are not separate from nature. She is a photographer and explorer. Her photographs have been featured in prestigious publications, including National Geographic and TIME magazine. Seaman has a bachelor’s degree in the fine arts photography from the State University of New York at Purchase. She has won several photography awards, including a National Geographic Award and the Critical Mass Top Monograph Award. Seaman advocates the importance of recognizing the relationship between humans and their natural surroundings. 

It's so important for us to tell our own stories, from the inside.  Having Native artists and photographers on the ground offers multiple perspectives.


HISTORY IS BEING MADE:
A gathering of the tribes not seen in a century. I feel it's important for me to be there making photographs that truly reflect the beauty, challenges and identity of those putting their own lives on the line to protect what is in all of our interests, the security of our sacred water. I need your help to get me there ASAP!!! 

Help me get to the Sacred Stone Camp to document history as it happens.

I CANNOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOU:
Contrary to what you might think, being a photographer is a difficult challenging way to earn a living. Often I ponder whether I should give it up and get a desk job. More often people like you tell me how important it is that I be able to make the images that I share with you and the world. I have raised funds for past projects via Kickstarter, this time there is no time to lose, I need your support NOW!

WHERE DO THE $$ GO?:
I will use these funds to ...
Get me there, travel, food, shelter etc.
Keep me there... as long as possible so that means covering my expenses at home as well as while I am at the camp.

The images I make are made possible because of your support, in essence you helped me make them. So you can choose which image you would like to have as a great big thank you from me.
