WHO WE ARE:
We are FIRST Robotics Comeptition Team 3140 Flagship from Knoxville, Tennessee. Since 2010, we have participated in the annual FRC build season & competition season, which challenges teams across the globe to design, build, and program robots that meet certain specifications for the chance to compete for the title of World Champions.

Teamwork is a big reason for our success so far. Our team grows each year. This year, we are around 50 members strong, guided by various mentors consisting of teachers, professional engineers, and parent mentors. We learn and work hard to achieve success. Each member also brings a wide array of skills and expertise, including engineering, computer science, and business career fields.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
"The mission of the Farragut Flagship FIRST Robotics Team is to let students explore all areas of education and to work with mentors to share and apply knowledge of engineering, business, and leadership skills through a fun, hands-on experience. As a team, members work toward a common goal of designing, building, marketing, and operating a competitive robot in a business-like environment while supporting the ideals of FIRST. As a member of the FIRST family, you’ll learn to perform high-quality, well-informed work while learning and competing intensely, but treating one another with respect and kindness in the process – this is called 'Gracious Professionalism'. You will also enjoy the satisfaction of knowing that you have acted with integrity and empathy. FIRST is not just about robots; it’s about ideas and people, too."

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS GOFUNDME?
Success at the Smoky Mountain Regional in Knoxville, TN has granted us the ability to travel to and compete in the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas from April 19-22! However, we need your support to afford transportation to make the long journey. All money raised through this project will go directly to the funding of such travel plans. We would like to reach our goal of $15,000 by April 12th.

WHY DOES THIS MEAN SO MUCH TO US?
Attending the World Championships is so much more than competing for glory on an international scale. The overall goal is to connect with hundreds of other teams in ways that most never get to. We visit the Innovation Faire, which has many technology companies demonstrate their products to visitors, as well as teaching the future generations about themselves, thus introducing many into STEM career fields. Above all else, we go to have fun. The sheer privelege of attending ought to be used to have great experiences, build even greater memories, and prepare our team members for their greatest journey into their professional lives.
