ABOUT US

The Southern Districts Rebelette's are a representative Women's Rugby 7's Team who play in the NSW Shute Shield 7's Series. 

Established in 2018 at home in Southern Sydney's Sutherland Shire, the Rebelettes have had an outstanding inaugural year with numerous achievements including:

Team Achievements
- Achieving 2nd place overall in 2018's Shute Shield 7's Series.

- Current Champions of the Women's Scone Rugby 7's Tournament  (November 2018).

Individual Achievements
- 11 x players being selected to play within the high-performance AON University 7's representing Macquarie University Rays & Sydney University Lions.

- Skipper Olivia White selected in the Aussie 7's Development Squad to play French Development squad (January 2019).

- Youngsters Katalina Amosa and Mareva Swann selected in the National Youth Sevens Championship winning team (December, 2018).

- Young gun Katalina Amosa selected to represent Australia, who then came out on top as tournament Champions in the World School Sevens (December 2018).

- Captain Olivia White and formidable Olivia "Brooksy" Brooks selected to participate in the Aussie 7's Development Squad to play Japan and Ireland (January 2018).

WHY GOFUNDME?
In 2019, the Rebelette's have even higher hopes for their 2nd season, and kicking off the year with selection into Borneo Sevens: ‘The greenest Sevens in the World’ is a dream come true for many within the squad who have been working hard on their game in the off-season to peak for this opportunity.

This tournament is among the most prestigious outside of the HSBC World Series circuit and will provide another test for the Rebelette's to showcase their high-performing skills and teamwork against some of the world's best including national teams from Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Korea, Thailand, along with some of the best Club Sevens teams from Japan, Australia and New Zealand.


THE CAUSE:
All funds raised towards the "Send South's to Borneo 7's" cause will go directly towards the players and staff in aiding their financials to travel, stay and play the best rugby possible in Borneo, South-east Asia.

Traveling dates: 20th-26th of March 2019
Tournament Days: 23rd-24th of March, 2019
