That is right, we want to give Sarah her pink slip. Our friend and co-worker, Sarah Rae Pierce Allen continues to work. IMMEDIATE NEEDS are funds to cover the cost of heath insurance premiums and loss of wages.

Sarah, a 48 year old woman of faith, daughter of Don and Susan Pierce, sister of Gwen Barber, wife to Deon Allen and parent to Molly, Kyle, Mason, Skyler, Madi, Mason and Jackson. ( Yes, there are two Masons) Deon and Sarah have a beautiful and ambitious blended family. Five adult children enrolled in college and two children in their last years of high school.
Sarah has been a hospice registered nurse for the past 13 years. She has been "there when she is needed most" and continues to "make moments matter"; serving rural Oklahoma families facing life limiting illness.
Diagnosed in the summer of 2017 with triple negative breast cancer; Sarah has navigated multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and countless appointments for follow up care with grace and grit. Sarah returned to her work at Physicians Choice Hospice, full time, in July of this year. Within weeks of returning to work, Sarah began experiencing vision and balance disturbances as well as extreme fatigue. A mid August follow up appointment with her oncologist resulted in a confirmed metastatic disease. The cancer had spread to her brain. And once again, with grace and grit, neurosurgery had been completed and radiation treatments start in a few weeks. Sarah continues to work on the "good days" as she feels the need to continue to contribute her passion of caring for others facing end of life. She is also realistic, this being something she will not likely be able to continue as her own needs increase.
Please help us "SEND SARAH HOME." It is where she truly needs to be, it is where her family wants her to be and it is where her heart is.
