Send RoboHuskies to Nationals!

Thank you for your interest in the St. Anthony RoboHuskie robotics team. We appreciate the time you have taken to learn more about our program.

RoboHuskie exists to encourage the development of students’ interest in the areas of math and science. By doing so, the program prepares young minds to work and thrive in our increasingly technological world. The team participates in a competition held by FIRST, a program developed in 1989 in order to inspire more interest in the fields of science and technology. In this competition, our team designs, programs and builds a robot that performs an annually assigned task – all in the span of six weeks.

This year, our team hopes to compete in two regional competitions in March and April. The process of building and designing the robot is not an easy one. Through the program, students gain priceless opportunity to experiment and explore their technological capabilities and gain exposure to several aspects of technology, including technical design, computer programming, and even business management.

However, in order to make this journey successful, the team needs support from the community. One of the most effective ways to support RoboHuskie is to sponsor us financially. By contributing monetary support, the team will be able to purchase necessary materials and tools to construct the robot. In return, we offer several benefits, including advertising space on the robot itself (see packet for more details about financial support). Also, in-kind support through product donations and discounts allow us to stretch our financial resources even farther. Our yearly budget runs about $20,000. That covers entrance fees to two competitions, robot parts, computer technology, building materials, business materials, marketing supplies, travel and lodging expenses, and much more. We have made it to Nationals this year and we require $10,000.

Any help you could supply to our team would be greatly appreciated! All donations are tax deductable. If you have any questions about our program, or if you would like members of our team to come make a presentation at your company, please contact me.
