Hello!
We are Recharged Green, a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team located in Pella, Iowa. It is our mission to perform to our highest capability, spread the mission of FIRST and STEM throughout our surrounding area, and glorify God in all we do.
When the yearly FTC challenge was revealed in early September, our team immediately set out to master the goals of this season's challenge.
Out of the more than 200 teams in Iowa, only 48 advance to the State Competition. Recharged Green and our sister team, Recharged Orange, earned two of those spots. During the State competition, we finished first in our division and earned a spot at Super Regionals, placing us in the top 6% of all FTC teams.
We competed at the Super Regional tournament against 71 teams from 14 states. At the end of 2 days of competition, our team won the highest scoring match and placed 5th in our 36 team division. These accomplishments earned us an invitation to the World Championship.
This is the first time a team from Marion county has advanced to the World Championship, and we are honored and ecstatic about the opportunity.
In order to cover the expenses of Worlds, our team needs to raise $1,500 for our registration fee, travel expenses, and additional materials by Monday, April 24th.
