Send "Diagnose This!" Into The World!

Folks, I have a story to share with the world, and I want it to inspire a wave of change.

"Diagnose This! Tales of a Medical Actor" is about my work as a medical actor, a.k.a. Standardized Patient. What is a Standardized Patient? It's a person who works with students of healthcare to help them learn to do what they do. I am their substitute patient, allowing them to hilariously stumble through the learning process to become better communicators and caregivers.

This comedy storytelling show will not only have you smiling and cringing. I share my personal healthcare journey, the motivation for me to do the work I do. I want to open the conversation about healthcare in the United States.

Every show has brought organic post-show conversation about the audience members' own medical experiences. You don't have to agree with my call for Universal Healthcare to engage in the discussion of what we need to do to better our medical system.

I hope to start that conversation wherever I share this show...and make you laugh while doing it. 


Traveling a show is no easy task, and the up-front costs are expensive. I have applied to several theatre festivals in the United States and Canada, and the fees to pay for the performance spaces and technical staff are outside my grasp, currently in excess of $3000 (not including travel, food and lodging, and marketing costs), many of them due the first week of December.

I need help to do this, and every bit helps.

With any donation, I will send you a VIP code to access the film of my show on Vimeo. You give what you can, and I will give what I can.

 With a significant donation (sliding scale depending on your location), I will travel to you and perform the show gratis for your class, discussion group, "house concert",  fundraiser, or other special event. Merely ask.
