Send Melissa Graham to Disneyland!

Humans of Salt Lake City is now running a little fundraiser to send Melissa Graham and a friend to Disneyland.

Melissa has gastroparesis which is a condition that keeps her stomach from properly digesting food.  Her doctor says she has about six months to live before literally starving to death. It has been explained to me that, while gastroparesis itself is not fatal, Melissa has advanced complications that are making her terminal.

I interviewed her recently and shared her story on my Humans of Salt Lake City Facebook page and I asked her about her bucket list. She originally wanted to go skydiving, having done that once before, but, due to her condition, her doctor could not support such activity. He does support taking a short trip to Disneyland as long as she doesn't ride any wild rides and stays in a wheelchair.

Melissa doesn't have very long to live and Humans of Salt Lake City would like to see this wish of hers come true. I am hoping to send her and a friend on this trip sooner than later, so, please consider making a small donation to this little cause.  The funds would be used to purchase airfare, hotel accommodation, and entrance into Disneyland in California.

Humans of Salt Lake City believes in the magic of people reaching out to uplift other people and I see proof of that almost every day. It would mean a great deal to see people come together for this very special person to make a little magic at the end of her life.
