Hey everyone!
My name is Karl Killing, I’m 16 years old and I’m from a tiny country in Europe called Estonia. Last December I applied for a summer programme in Los Angeles, California, called A Cappella Academy (www.acappellacademy.org).
Sending my audition literally on the last minute, I was very fortunate to get accepted. Being noticed is just a really great feeling, especially when it comes to this camp. It's founded by some one of the biggest names in the a capella industry like Avi Kaplin, Ben Bram and even Rob Dietz.
Music has been my passion from a very young age. I've studied classical piano and performed with choirs since age 7. I discovered my love for a capella music because of my sister, who attended A Capella Academy both in 2014 and 2015 and who is currently singing Popular Music in United kingdom. My favorite gerne is electronic dance music. In 2016, I auditioned for a pop group called Beyond Beyond and we've done some amazing gigs around the country.
Here's what we've been doing:
I've co-written/produced a few songs for different Estonian artists and this year I'm participating in an Estonian song contest called Song of the Year 2018.
It would be AMAZING if I could participate in the camp, but unfortunately, the expenses are pretty high, with the camp itself being $1995. I would be overwhelmed if you would help me get to my American dream!
