The Portland, Maine branch of the International Socialist Organization is fundraising to send our comrades and contacts to the biggest event of the year -- Socialism Conference 2018 in Chicago!

This year's conference will be held from July 5th - 8th. Previous attendees have noted Conference as a truly crystallizing experience that has driven their commitment to fighting injustice, oppression, and to building a healthy, socialist left both globally and locally. This year's conference is especially critical after a year and a half of shocking right wing attacks on women, people of color, immigrants, and working people. The conference is an excellent opportunity for thousands of activists, socialists, and revolutionaries across the country to convene for four days and discuss questions facing our movements, attend dozens of talks on socialist theory, history, and politics, meet each other, reflect on the past year of political activity and prepare for the year ahead!

Your donation will go towards paying registration fees, airfare, accommodations, food, radical literature, and to ensure all of our 'rades are able to gain a deeper political consciousness without the worry of financial stresses.
This year, we have about 15 planning to attend Conference, which means we need your help! We've set our fundraising goal at $1,100, much of which will go toward covering full and partial scholarships. We're hoping to raise this amount (or more!) by June 30th. Any donation amount is welcomed and appreciated! Solidarity forever!
