Derby High School's Track & Field athletes have built a tradition of excellence on the track, in the field and in the classroom. Not only have these boys and girls hung team championship banners in the gymnasium, they have also earned individual name recognition for their accolades, as well.
The Derby High School boys' team has won back-to-back NVL and Class S State Track & Field championships after compiling back-to-back undefeated regular seasons.
Derby High School's runners are getting noticed on the national level by competing in local, regional and national invitational meets. That is why it is so vitally important for these athletes to compete in North Carolina this month.
In 2018, Derby already has 11 athletes that have qualified for the New Balance High School Outdoor Track & Field National Championships in Greensboro, NC, with the strong possibility of adding more Derby athletes to the trip in the coming days.
In order to send these athletes to Nationals, we need to raise the money necessary to fund this trip, which includes transportation, lodging, event entry fees and food for our athletes.
This will be an amazing experience for our athletes to not only compete at the highest level possible in high school, but also to gain competitive experience and collegiate exposure. Thank you in advance for your consideration in donating to support our athletes!
