I've recently been selected as a state finalist to participate in the Miss Massachusetts Teen USA State Pageant. However, in order to participate, I need $995.
For my entire life, I've dealt with body dysmorphia, tackled eating disorders, and underwent a long, difficult journey to finding self love and body positivity. I'm participating in this pageant now to come full circle. After building up my self confidence over the past two years and learning to love myself and the body I'm in, I wanted to take the next step and partake in this pageant not to prove to others my beauty, but prove to myself that I've worked hard to get to the point where I am.
