Send Bahrain Stray Rocky to the UK!

Donation protected
Rocky was named by the vetrinary staff that treated him the first time at House Vetrinary in Arad, Bahrain. He was full of ticks and had a severe burn near his tail which looked to caused intentionally.

I got him treated and neutered and he stayed at the clinic for a few days before beong moved to Logik Land Kennels where he has been staying now for almost a year.

Here is how Rocky ended up in my care.
One day, Muhannad, my 24 year old brother, was walking near Midway supermarket in Arad. He had food in his hands and while taking a bite Ricky turned up out of nowhere and started wagging his tail. Muhannad tossed him some food and finished his own. He thought Rocky would leave now that he had nothing to offer, but Rocky kept wagging his tail and tried hard to get Muhannads' attention. He pet him gently on the head and walked away. A few minutes later he realised Rocky was still on his trail, walking behind him at a distance. Muhannad stopped and tried to shoo him away. He was about to cross highway and didn't want the dog to follow him. Rocky however took that as an invitation and stuck right by Muhannads side. He followed him all the way home.
That's when I got a knock on my window. Muhannad told me that we have a guest...and when I peeked outside I saw a black tail wagging from underneath the gate. Rocky was waiting patiently outside. Amazingly he knew just the right people to go to it. I have 5 rescued dogs and two rescued cats. I'm also active in the animal rescue community. It seemed only fitting that Rocky would follow my brother right up to our home.
I have been covering Rocky's bills for almost a year now. Both medical and boarding bills have been a great over load on me given that I have so many other responsibilities. I tried hard to find Rocky a loving home in Bahrain, but most people that offer end up changing their minds when they realise he's been neutered. Breeders are always lurking unfortunatly and Neutering is the way to protect dogs like Rocky who apears to be a pure Saluki, and possibly a doberman saluki mix.
Despite Rocky's beautiful apearance, incredibly friendly nature and extreme love of humans and other dogs, he has not been lucky in finding a home in Bahrain.

The bills started getting too costly and releasing him onto the streets again is completly out of the question mostly now that stray dogs are being gathered and killed without differentiation nor mercy.
A wonderful lady saw my pleas for help and offered to help me find Rocky a new home in the UK. She offered to pay 300 bd of the costs which cannot be any less than 1000, but hopefully no more than 1400.
After some asking around, she found the perfect adopter. A lady who has experience with large dogs like Rocky and who is willing to give him the new start he deserves.
I now turn to you all for help. I need your shares and donations to help send Rocky to a place where he can finally be loved and cared for. He has been stuck in a cage for far too long and I am not going to be able to keep covering his boarding fees. Any small donation can go a long way. And lots of love to all the people who have already promised certain amounts outside of the gofund me page...but we have a long way to go and we need all the help we can get!
