The Selena "Amor Memorial" Project
In honor of Selena.
San Antonio, will you help us honor Selena's memory? Let's not just SAY we love her, let's SHOW it. A few years ago, I saw people walking all over Selena's star on the ground in front of a restaurant in downtown San Antonio. Something didn't feel right, and it still doesn't. It's time we create a proper memorial piece in the Alamo City, her second home. We are currently working on designs and on the location for the final home of this memorial. Your ideas are always welcome! Please join us in making this happen. Let's show the world what she meant to us.
A tribute piece for her, for her fans...by her fans.
The motto: One dollar at a time, one share at a time.
This is a non-profit art project. Money raised will go directly to creating the memorial piece and to inspire the future generation of young artists and musicians. A portion of the proceeds will go directly back to children of SA. Through the La Prensa Foundation, we will create the "Amor Arts Scholarship," a grant for young musicians and artists in SA.
Thank you (in advance) to Councilman Roberto Treviño for being such a great supporter and vocal champion of this project. Together, he will help us find the perfect home for this artwork.
