Help Single Mom Avoid Homelessness

Donation protected
I’m a domestic abuse survivor and a single mother of a beautiful boy who suffers from sickle cell disease and is frequently admitted to the hospital, he was just recently admitted in late October for pneumonia, but thank goodness he is fine.

I live here in Brooklyn and it’s just us two. Much of my family is either dead or simply don't care. But I survived, and I do the best I can to raise an amazing and wonderful child. And I'm grateful every day for the wonderful human being he's become.
I beg of you for any amount of help you can provide for a Christmas miracle.

I have been unemployed since late September and diligently looking for work ever since. I’ve time and time again have gotten turned down by interviews or never heard from them again.
I am now 2 months behind in rent and facing eviction. I got a final judgment stating if I don’t have $2800 by December 31st, my son and I will be homeless.
I've gone to public assistance, but because I am in a hold over case and just buying more time, they refuse to provide any assistance.

All I want to give my child for Christmas is a roof over his head and a nice meal. We don’t need gifts. We have each other and that’s all that matters.

I am still looking for work every day. Just a few minutes ago, my son – who is always positive – always optimistic, cried like a baby, asking me, “Mommy, what are we gonna do? We have less than 30 days?” It broke my heart and I sit here with tears in my eyes as I write this plea – this on last hope for a beautiful Christmas miracle from some loving heart.

This money will go directly to the landlord to give us a roof over our heads to buy more time for me to find work and so that my son can be in a safe, home environment where he can be well and thrive. If I am blessed to have more than this, I will buy a small Christmas tree and a gift for my son and put the remaining monies towards a new apartment.

I sincerely beg for your help. Any little bit counts and I will be forever in debt of this. I will be happy to provide any documentation you need to prove my authenticity: court papers, job/interview declines (I have tons of these), hospital records - just ask. This is my last chance and I hope with all my might that someone/s is compassionate enough to help us.

Much love to you and your family, never take the small things for granted, like stable housing and good health. They are amazing blessings to have.

Happy Holidays
