We need your help to secure the Battleship IOWA:
The mooring lines that help hold the IOWA are in dire need of replacement!
Against the tug of the ocean tides, mooring lines are the difference between being secure at port or adrift at sea. These lines help secure the Battleship IOWA to her berth at the Port of Los Angeles where visitors from around the world can admire her splendor.
To ensure that the Battleship IOWA continues its mission to Celebrate the American Spirit and connect future generations to their past, we need your help and support in obtaining new mooring lines!
About us:
Pacific Battleship Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates the Battleship USS Iowa as a museum & education platform. The organization does not endorse or promote any political candidates or advocacy organizations. We provide a community platform to all groups and organizations, regardless of political affiliation. For nearly 75 years, the USS Iowa has protected America’s freedoms and continues to do so today.
We receive no funding from the City or County of Los Angeles, the State of California, or the federal government. The State of Iowa is instrumental in the preservation of the Battleship Iowa and telling its story and provided $3,000,000 to the startup operation of the Pacific Battleship Center. We rely on admissions, memberships, and donations from corporations and individual donors. Donations and sponsorships go towards the start-up and expansion of a variety of programs including education, museum, tours and long-term preservation & restoration.
We have a limited time to get this project funded. Funding will conclude at the end of September. For your support, we have compiled a list of rewards. These rewards for your support will be processed 3 months after the conclusion of this campaign.
