CARE for Camp Fire survivors

We had an incredibly successful first round of gear donation today. Over $13,500 raised meant new, quality gear was delivered to the Hope Center Camp Fire relief efforts. That includes 106 sleeping bags, 27 air mattresses (with batteries and battery-powered pumps), 38 tarps, 32 tents, 52 duffel bags, 39 pairs of gloves, 8 cots, 28 winter coats and $3,600 in Visa Gift Cards.

It is so clear how much this community cares. For a brief time we stopped accepting donations to this campaign. But with a little encouragement from the community and with this great momentum, we wanted to open the campaign back up.

Here is the next step. LET'S get to $20K so we can get more, much need supplies to the Camp Fire survivors.  Just as we did on the first round, we will wait until right be fore we drive north to buy the items, so we can bring supplies that are needed.

Many people have volunteered their cars/trucks/vans so space is not an issue. 

Thank you to all those that already donated money. Please share with your friends and family and keep this great energy going for the people of Butte County.

One more note. The distribution center made it very clear again that they only want brand new items. For the purposes of this campaign we asked that you contribute money, not items. Local companies (Marmot, Sports Basement, REI and more to come) have partnered with us, which allows us to get quality gear at affordable prices for our neighbors to the north.
