Sean Duff Medical Fund

Sean Duff is a beloved teacher and basketball coach in Whitefish, MT. On August 4, 2017, Sean was rushed to the emergency room and told he was suffering from severe kidney failure. Sean spent six days in the hospital, four of those days in the Intensive Care Unit after a seizure nearly took his life. He has been diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease , a hereditary disease he was unaware he had. Sean had led a normal life leading up to his emergency room visit, so this diagnosis has taken him and his family completely by surprise.

The severe damage to Sean's kidneys is irreversible and he has been added to the kidney transplant list. He will have a kidney transplant hopefully sooner rather than later and is looking for a living donor with type O blood who may be a match for him. In the meantime, he must undergo hemodialysis three times per week at a dialysis center (3 hours per session) in order to "clean" his blood since his kidneys are no longer functioning. Eventually, he will switch to peritoneal dialysis , which will be performed daily at home.

Sean is so thankful for the overwhelming outpouring of support and love from his family and friends. He hopes to miss as little school as possible and be able to coach the Whitefish Boys Basketball team later this year. Sean Duff is a fighter! Any help is appreciated!
