Help Send Sean Aliño to IWPS

Soooo get this right? Sean Aliño is a poet, performer, and filmmaker; born in the Philippines and raised in America. He writes about his experiences being a member of his family, a person of color, an immigrant, and being queer, as well living life at those intersections. He was a member the 2014-2016 Montclair State University Slam Teams for the College Union’s Poetry Slam Invitational; the 2014 Urban Word NYC Slam Team for Brave New Voices; He is also the 2015 Grand Slam Champion of Loser Slam as well as a member of the 2015 Loser Slam Team. He is a part of the Elly Sh’Von Poetry Collective, formerly known as the 2016 MSU Slam Team, which has featured at The Nuyorican Poet’s cafe, and placed 7th internationally. Sean was also awarded Best Persona Poem at CUPSI 2016. He was part of the 2016 Philadelphia Fuze poetry slam team. Currently, he is the Jersey City Representative for this year’s Individual World Poetry Slam in FlagStaff, Arizona. His performances have been featured on Push Poetry, Slamfind, Write About Now, etc. When he is not writing poetry he is writing poetry, or dancing.
