Hello Everyone, I’m reaching out to you because I’ve decided to start a GoFundMe and help us contribute to Sean’s wife and two kids. Sean was an excellent coworker who is leaving behind a wife, stepdaughter and a less than a year old son. The least we can do is to show some support to his family during this  time.

Sean Archuleta was an E-175 Mesa Airlines Captain, who was also along with the other 2 crew members on the Atlas B767  when the tragedy occurred. The plane was traveling from Miami to Houston when it crashed last Saturday 02/23/2019; about 40 miles southeast of George Bush Intercontinental Airport. To all our friends and member of the aviation community, please help us supporting his family.

We both work for the same company and flew together as pilots. Sharing many things in common such as our passion and integrity for  flying and family. He was a great family man, always putting family over everything else.  Everything I’m doing is strictly to help his wife and kids. Just another friend mourning for someone who won our respect with professionalism and endless gratitude.

If you could support my GoFundMe by making a donation and then sharing it with your network, I would greatly appreciate it. I know that money can be tight, so please know that even $5 helps me get closer to the goal. Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll be happy to answer them.

Revised Update:

Good Morning Everyone,

I’d like to thank for your support to Sean’s family for the last two weeks by contributing to this noble cause.

It is also our responsibility to let you know and avoid any confusion, that we have decided for legal purposes to put ”temporarily” - Brenda Salas Freeman (Sean’s cousin) as the beneficiary on this account. So that she (Brenda) can withdraw the funds and transfer it to Tatiana Carvajal (Sean’s wife) in Colombia. The purpose of this change was to give Tatiana access to the funds and the chance to find a new place to live with her kinds since they had to vacate their previous location in Bogota as soon as possible and arrange a funeral service for Sean. The reason why we are doing this is because Tatiana couldn’t withdraw the funds directly, but through another family member, Brenda. The legal and correct process from GoFundMe and tax specialist has been done and followed in order for her to have access to the funds. Tatiana does not have a place to live now, but thanks to the magnificent contribution from all of you, she is going to have the chance to find a new place for her and the kids. It has been a great teamwork. Thank you...

We will keep you posted regarding any change. And every comment, thoughts and prayers have been read by each one of us. We appreciate your help to his family.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time.

Best Regards,

Yoandy

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." Buddha

Buying a small place in Colombia and give a sense of stability for his kids.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

Hello,

Our most sincere appreciation for your contribution to this noble cause. Almost 3000 donors and almost 15,000 shares all around the globe. There’s no words to describe how difficult it has been to accept his lost and the pain his family is going through. However, all your comments and messages leads them to a more positive path of life.

To all of those parents whose sons are also pilots, thank you for all of your support and consideration. To all of those wife’s and kids who live everyday the same feeling of seeing his/her significant other walking out the door to do the same job, thank you for your consideration; your comments and messages have been read.

It doesn’t matter the amount of your contribution, but the understanding of what it can be done to his family now that their most important engine and support; is gone.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them as we continue supporting this noble cause to every extent and every heart. Thank you...

Best Regards,
Yoandy

The following is a message from United Airlines to our Mesa Family and those affected by this tragedy:

***********************************************
Our entire United family joins in offering our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to everyone affected by Atlas Air Flight 3591, a cargo plane that went down near Houston on February 23.

We also were saddened to learn that one of the three men who died in the accident, Mesa Airlines Captain Sean Archuleta who was jumpseating on the flight, had recently been hired here at United and planned to join us in March.

Sean’s passing reminds us that we are all connected as an aviation community. We stand together today in support of one another during a very sad and difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family members, friends and many colleagues, including everyone at Atlas Air and Mesa Air, who are grieving.

We remain in contact with Mesa Airlines, which is supporting Sean’s family.
*********************************************
Aviation community is a tight family of brothers and sisters all over the world. A tragedy like this could happen to any of us. Supporting our loves ones, those we kiss before leaving home for days without knowing if we are ever coming back. Thank you all for your support and prayers during the last 72 hours.

Best Regards,

Yoandy
