Wildlife Rescue Facility

£13,409 of £250,000 goal

Raised by 53 people in 12 months
30854634_1530143006795343_r.jpegSeahaven Wildlife Rescue was set up in 2012 after we found a bird that had been kicked by a young person. The bird had serious injuries, but was still alive. We took the poor bird home, provided him with treatment and care and released him back to the wild after recovering around two months later. It was then we decided that there was a need for a local group to help rescue and care for injured and orphaned wildlife in our area.

Since this humble start, we are now a registered charity with 6 part time volunteers, providing expert and dedicated support 24/7.

Every year we receive over 1000 calls for assistance from members of the public, local authorities, veterinary surgeries and emergency services. Our small hospital facility can no longer meet this demand.

The next step for our continued success is to move in to a dedicated, fully equipped, modern care facility. We desperately need more space to be able to deal with the volume of calls we receive and to provide the very best treatment and rehabilitation we can for our patients.

Unlike humans, there is no NHS for animals. Everything we do relies 100% on donations - we do not take any salaries or expenses in any way and our time (often upwards of 14 hours a day!) is given entirely voluntarily.

Unfortunatly, equipment, rent, utilities, food, vet bills and everything else that goes with running our service does not come cheap.

Your help is is vital in ensuring the future of our charity, without the generosity of our amazing donors we simply cannot do what we do best - Saving the Lives of British Wildlife!

Thanks again to our amazing supporters, we continue to be overwhelmed by your genoursity, our heartfelt thanks to all who have donated and shared ☺️

We have located the ideal property that has just come on the market - it’s located within the South Downs National Park, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and an established nature reserve. We need to act quickly if we have any chance of getting this property, but it will require significant investment. Please donate and share all you can! Alongside this we are applying for grants to help us reach our target but we really do need your help

How it Works
  1. You are donating to PayPal Giving Fund UK, a registered charity (No. 1110538), which will email you a receipt for your donation and claim Gift Aid where eligible.
  2. GoFundMe’s platform is free. The charity will typically receive the funds from PayPal Giving Fund within 15-45 days of your donation if the charity has enrolled (or 90 days if the charity has not yet enrolled). Unlike other platforms, 100% of any Gift Aid will go to the charity as well.
* In very limited cases, a recommended charity may cease to meet PayPal Giving Fund's legal or other eligibility requirements. In such cases, PayPal Giving Fund will reassign the funds to a similar charity, and (wherever possible) seek a new recommendation from donors.
