Seagrove Pavillion AED purchase
Tax deductible
Hi, my name is Sheran Brown and I live in Seaview.
In memory of a dear friend who lost his life after a cardiac episode last year, I am raising money on behalf of the Seagrove Pavilion Trust, towards the purchase of an AED Emergency Defibrillator.
I have just completed a solo walk around the Isle of Wight (around 115KM) over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
This was the hardest thing I have ever done and if I’m honest I completely underestimated the effort that would be needed to climb all the hills etc during the hottest Easter on record. But I have done it and could not be more pleased.
Although I have not quite reached my target of £2K, we do have enough to buy the defibrillator and just need to cover the cost of the security box, training, installation etc.
It is intended that it will be sited at the pavilion. The pavilion is used by football teams and many local groups and the siting of an AED there could be a lifesaver.
One of the anonymous donations that has been received was from a dear man who added this comment: " My life was saved by one of these Defibrillators a year ago. They may only be used once, but this could save a life".
This helped me to push on knowing that this equipment may save a life one day.
Thank you to everyone who had donated I will keep this page open for a few weeks to enable last minute donations to raise the rest of the money needed.
All donations made will go directly to the Seagrove Pavilion Trust.
