Sonoma Sea Dragons Swim-a-Thon

The Sonoma Sea Dragons is a USA Swimming developmental and competitive youth swimming program based in the Boyes Hot Springs area in the city of Sonoma.

Rich with history, the program was revitalized in 2007 by Jane Hansen and has been growing steadily ever since. Now a flourishing program once again, with many swimmers reaching new heights every season, the team is looking to the community for help to further enhance our team's goal of becoming THE team in the north bay area. As the team continues to develop, the more our swimmers need in order to remain competitive and continue to put Sonoma back in the swimming spotlight.

We will be running a swim-a-thon on Halloween at the Sonoma Aquatic Club, and are hoping to raise enough money to help elevate our program to the next level. We are looking to purchase new dryland training gear, a timing computer system so that we can run swim meets, and new starting blocks.

Instead of the standard reach-out to one's immediate family, we wanted to use today's social media outlets to give our kids the best chance of success in reaching our target goal.

Sonoma is a very small and tight knit community, and we are hoping that this message reaches the swimming community and demonstrates our team's mission toward fostering a fun, healthy, and lifelong pursuit of aquatics!
