CHILDREN LIVING IN POVERTY (EGYPT)

Asalam alaykum wa rahmatAllahi wa barakatu.
I am going to Egypt on 20th August 2018 till September 20th 2018. I usually go Egypt annually to visit family etc and every time that I do the extreme conditions that so many are faced to live in never fails to shock me. Kids are forced to wear clothes that are filthy, with holes in it, selling tissues in the blazing heat just to have enough money to eat bread if they're lucky. Mothers and fathers are torn apart from their family so that they can search for a job in the city cleaning houses or becoming servants just to be able to afford their sick children's medicine. The economy in Egypt is getting worse meaning that prices are getting higher and higher and people are becoming less and less able to spare some change to the children they see on the streets begging for just some loose change to buy a drink. No child should have to suffer like this.

In 2014, an article by Egyptian Streets informed us that more than 22 million Egyptians live in poverty.
The article also read that "Malnutrition in Egypt is up, with 31 percent of children under five years of age stunted as opposed to 23 percent in 2005; a number that the UN World Health Organization (WHO) regards as “high range.”".

I can't help but feel guilty while I enjoy my vacation barely being able to help out enough children who are suffering. So, this year, I want you to help me do something about it.
I started this campaign so that when I go this year in shaa Allah, I will have the money you donated to share with the kids on the street. Every time I give the money, I will record it and show you the children's reactions to your kindness and generosity.

The most insane thing about this is the currency. £1 is 24 EGP (Egyptian Pounds)! So if you were to donate £10, that would be 240 EGP! Subhan Allah, imagine the rewards you will obtain from Allah subhana wa ta'la.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) swears by Allah that a man’s wealth will not diminish by Sadaqah (charity). And Allah states in Quran that Sadaqah leads the wealth to grow by Allah’s blessings, and it purifies the souls (Nafs) of the rich from stinginess, and the souls of the poor from envy and hatred.

Please donate whatever you can and share this with as many people as possible in shaa Allah. May Allah make this deed heavy on the scales Allahumma ameen.
Ma' salam.
