SDF Volunteer returned home and needs help
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Sam Humiston. On Sunday October 6th, 2019, I arrived back in the United States after serving several months as a volunteer with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). I burned down my life financially to have the opportunity to volunteer, and the circumstances of my return were political and diplomatic in nature. They were neither of my choosing nor in the realm of my control. The day after I left Rojava (Northern Syria), the Turkish state and rebels which they back began a brutal onslaught and invasion against the people I made a commitment to help protect.
With all this, I've wound up coming home to less than no money, very little prospects, and no ways to continue the work I started. I have no way to put a roof over my head for more than a few days, to eat without borrowing, and much less to finance the political work I need to do to continue to help ensure the peace and freedom of the people of northern Syria.
All in all, things have fallen out of control for me at the worst of all times, and I really need help. Any contribution will be helpful. Thank you all. Serkeftin.
