A family tragedy

Hello everyone, this is the first time doing this and the upteenth time updating this for people who don't know me.
To say that lately I've hit a stretch of bad luck would be like calling a broken leg a setback; a bit of an understatement. My landlord chose not to renew my lease thanks to  a combination of bad credit and worse circumstances. . We had just bought a new car right before leaving the last apartment (for the sake of employment as much as safety) & now we find out a failure on the part of the dealership we bought it from left it succeptable to stalling out and power-steering failure. We discovered this in the traditional way for a Saturn Ion owner: mid-turn. The sudden lack of responsiveness from the steering while making a right turn while accelerating to 35 miles an hour led to a car accident which totaled our car. Aside from a few bumps and scratches; we were fine. The car (and to a lesser extent, the car we struck) were considerably less lucky. And while liability insurance through progressive  will rehimburse the driver of the other car, it will not cover any damages to our car. Thanks to losing my last apartment I spent the two-month-period in which i was buying everything for the car sleeping on an assortment of couches in various rooms; collission coverage  was easily confused for a week worth of rent and two more apartment applications. It has since been taken to bill cooks auto on S. Broad St where I was informed the damages are too severe to justify fixing it; the price of repairs would exceed the Blue-book value of the car itself. The cv axle is broken, the wheel & rim need replacing, the frame is dented in, the suspension is "cataclysmically" damaged, the passanger door hinges on the frame were bent until it no longer gets even two inches from shutting, front bumper,  right front fender,  and the windshield are ruined, and even after all of that, we still wouldn't be accounting for the mechanical issues which caused it to stall out and crash in the first place.
Which brings me to my point: I'm in extreme need of any and all possible help with funds for a reliable car so we have transportation to work & to get my daughter to school. Any amount would help for the repairs, down payment on another used car or transportation to get us to & from work.  Please share!
Thank you in advance & If there is anything I can do for you in exchange for help please ask; up to and including making anything from home-made lampshades, to tools and knives from old railway spikes, to making sanded and stained tables and cabinets from woodenshipping pallets, as I am an industrious recycler in the most literal sense of the word, and more than willing to do any and all work to help my family go on.
