Greetings SC State Alumni and Supporters. The facebook group I Chose South Carolina State University was created in 2014. This group was established in response to Comptroller General Eckstrom during the South Carolina Legislative Budget and Control meeting on April 29, 2014 when Comptroller General Eckstrom opinionated remarked that "students at South Carolina State couldn't matriculate into other schools". As current students, alumni and supporters our response conveyed "I CHOSE SOUTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY!"
I Chose South Carolina State University highlights the many contributions, promotions and success stories of our alumni, scholarship opportunities for current students, alumni giving campaigns, reconnecting alumni with friends and the university as well as discussions on what we as alumni can do to better assist the college.
With that being said, we have launched our latest giving campaign in the amount of $10K. All proceeds generated will be given to the university in support of student scholarships. We would love to succeed the goal and we need your help! Our minimum donation is $5 or more at your choosing. This campaign will conclude on October 15, 2018 at 11:59PM to give us time to withdraw funds in a timely manner to present to the university on Saturday, October 20, 2018 (Homecoming). Many have asked what can "I Chose" do to assist financially and here is your chance to show your love and support towards SCSU. We are asking all alumni, current students and supporters as well as donors and corporations to assist us financially. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Samuel Hinton.
