Hey guys!
My name is Scott McMahan, I’m a husband and father of three living in Alcoa TN. I’m also a Singer / Songwriter and last October after 20 years of trying to make it happen, I finally recorded my debut record!
I’m mighty proud of the record but well get back to that in a minute.
You may be wondering, why’d it take 20 years?
Well, there were some detours along the way. “Life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans” right? There were marriages, births, deaths, a divorce, another marriage, more births, I was homeless several times during this period, you get the picture.
Mostly it took so long because since I was a child I’ve struggled with Mental Illness. I have PTSD and Major Depressive Disorder and this did not make me easy to be around. I didn’t know how to get help, I didn’t even know how to ask. It took a trip to a Crisis Stablization Unit for me to realize how much trouble I was in. I would not be here if it wasn’t for a dear friend giving me a phone number, she saved my life. I’m telling you this because it’s important for me to talk about it and because I’m happy to be here. I’m happy to still be chasing my dream.
On that note, let’s get back to the record.

12 songs that I wrote, recorded and engineered by Dave Coleman, featuring guest apperances by Randall Bramblett and Blue Mother Tupelo! Sounds too good to be true right? Well it’s not but I’m going to need your help to make sure it gets out into the world. So without further ado, let me get to the point.
I need a publicist. Publicists are not cheap, especially the good ones. You know how people say ”you just have to get that one right person to hear your music and you’ll be on your way". Well, the right person heard my music and this person can get it out there nationally. I sent hundreds of records to radio stations hoping to be added and so far nothing because, who am I? They don’t know me so the record sits unopened in a box or goes in the trash. You have to have someone the station managers and the folks who decide what gets added will listen to. When this person says ‘Hey, you need to add this to your playlist!” it gets added to the playlist.
I know this record has a shot at a wider audience, will you help me get it out there?
This publicist will dedicate up to 12 weeks, maybe more to promoting my record to the AMA Chart. 3 months of telling all the right people, “you have to hear this record”.
I need a publicist to get to the next level and I need your help to get him.
