Dear Friends, Family, and Dousman Community:
My name is Mike Fink, Activities Director at Kettle Moraine High School and a long-time member of the Dousman community. I am helping my best friend, Scott Maule, in his fight against cancer.
I have known “Scott from Dousman” as he is known around town, for his entire life. He is the most kind, generous and caring person I have ever met. Every time I am with Scotty, I am reminded of all the good things he has done for me, my family, and for so many people in his community. His active participation in local events and his optimistic outlook on life have long been an inspiration for the people of Dousman.
This February, Scotty was diagnosed with Melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer. He has already undergone brain surgery and recently began his first round of immunotherapy to treat a tumor in his lung. Ongoing treatments are limiting his ability to work at The Dousman Hair Depot. Times are hard. Insurance will not cover every expense. Treatments and medications are extremely costly. With his recent brain surgery, medical costs already total well beyond $100,000.
He needs our help and so does his family. His wonderful wife Sue, and his two daughters Sarah and Abbie are proud to have Scotty in their lives. Scotty is a dedicated husband and a phenomenal father.
Now, he and his family need help from all of us. Scotty has helped so many of us over the years; it is time we return the favor. This is a person who is admired by many. This is a person worthy of our support.
