March for Science Vancouver 2017
The March for Science movement champions robustly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity. We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common good and for political leaders and policy makers to enact evidence-based policies in the public interest.
This GoFundMe campaign aims to raise money for the satellite March for Science in Vancouver, Canada.
Funds will be used to pay for permits, a sound system, venue fees, equipment rentals, clean up gear, promotional materials, our website & domain name, banners, and travel costs for guest speakers. Any unused funds will be donated to an organization/charity (TBD) that supports science and scientists.
We need initial funds as soon as possible to get things up and running, but we would appreciate any donation, no matter how small, up until the day of the main event, April 22nd, 2017.

Anyone who donates one of the above amounts is welcome to pick up their gear from us either before or after the March for Science on April 22nd. If you want to pick it up before the March, come down a bit early and we will have different sizes available.
